DDW celebrates the imagination with the question with which every designer and all innovation starts. The question of everyone who believes that everything can be better, more beautiful or more efficient, and recognizes the challenge in every problem.

For 9 days DDW presents processes, experiments and ideas, answers and solutions from 2400 designers at 100 locations. Come and marvel, amaze or marvel. Ask yourself new questions, inspire your own answers, and be convinced by the power of design. Save the date! DDW 2016: 22 to 30 October.

Design areas and opening times

DDW is divided into three design areas. The opening times vary per location, but most are open daily from 11.00-18.00. Check the program for more information and specific opening hours.

Strijp Area
General opening hours: 11.00-18.00. Young and established designers, businesses and educational institutions present themselves in an industrial setting with a strong open studio character.

Central Area
General opening hours: 11 am to 10 pm (please note: the opening hours of Design Academy Eindhoven are different). Design collectives and cultural institutions, mostly curated, in the hospitable city center of Eindhoven.

East Area
General opening hours: 12.00-18.00. Section-C until 9 pm.
Dynamic and experimental design, with a lot of attention for the circular economy, social design and new craftsmanship, of emerging talent in a raw setting on the outskirts of the city.
